Robbe Dusseldorf Fireboat

5/1/11,

Well so sorry for the delays in posts to this site, but im running another 2 web sites as well as this one, so they have unfortunately taken priority over my personal one here. Ah well,

I hope you can appreciate this, but I have completed the renovation on this boat, but will still show some of the pictures and details of what I actually had to do to get her back in to full service.

Purchase:

I bought this boat off Ebay [of all places], pictures looked good [as they always do] but once back home, I then began to realise what I had let myself in for. the boat was some years old, the original builder had not really followed the Robbe plans much, going more from pictures than measure! the fire monitors were all in place and have water hose to them, but they fired water and nothing else, as the additional servo drive kits had not been fitted, this i will sort out, as far as budget goes of course. The robbe navy kompact gear drive motors were fitted and work fine [phew!] and fitted with brass propellers, they look really good too. the upper cabin was basic and leaves me plenty of scope for mod’s and lights etc.

So heres a few pics of the original buy and later updates will show you have it has started to come to life.
